Four injured in two Callaway accidents

Four people were injured in two separate accidents Tuesday in Callaway County.

One accident involved a Fulton man driving a motorcycle on Route NN. The other crash was caused by a Jefferson City school bus with two student passengers that drove in front of another vehicle near Turkey Creek in Callaway County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Danny V. Burton, 63, Fulton, was injured when his northbound Kawasaki motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a sign.

The patrol reported the accident occurred just south of Fulton at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday on Route NN, about 200 feet south of the U.S. 54 outer road.

Burton was transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia with moderate injuries, the patrol reported. The report also stated that Burton's motorcycle had minor damages, and he was wearing a safety helmet.
