Samuel D. Blinkey of Fulton was injured Friday afternoon in a four-vehicle, chain-reaction rear end collision on Business 54 near Bartley Elementary School.

Police said Blinkey sustained a neck injury and was transported by ambulance to Callaway Community Hospital.

Police said the accident occurred when Blinkey was northbound on Business 54. His 2000 Mitsubishi skidded on a rain-slickened street into the rear of a vehicle stopped behind another vehicle waiting in traffic to make a left turn into Bartley Elementary School.

Blinkey's vehicle hit the rear of a northbound 2009 Hyundai driven by Matthew G. McCann of Fulton. The impact forced McCann's vehicle forward into the rear of a northbound 2001 Oldsmobile driven by Kellen J. Fernetti of Illinois, who was stopped in traffic to make a left turn into Bartley Elementary School.
