Senior outside hitter Haley Clark logged 12 kills Thursday night to help boost the Fulton Lady Hornets volleyball team to a 25-12, 25-22 North Central Missouri Conference win over Kirksville.
Sophomore setter Melissa Hoerber added 16 assists for Fulton (20-5, 6-1 NCMC), while junior middle hitter Corri Hamilton had eight kills and senior libero Emily Wefenstette contributed 13 digs.
Senior outside hitter Meghan Davis and senior right-side hitter Liz Foreman also supplied seven and five assists, respectively, while sophomore middle hitter Ryli Wallace chipped in with two blocks.
"I liked how we kept the ball clean and stayed aggressive throughout the entire match," Lady Hornets head coach Megan Herrick said. "I had some players in different positions; it was an interesting lineup, but the girls kept their wits about them."
Fulton (7-10) bowed in the junior varsity match 25-20 and 25-23. Sophomore libero Allie Pierce and sophomore defensive specialist Genevieve Randall tallied 12 and 11 digs, respectively. Sophomore middle hitter Bailey Mitchell posted five kills and sophomore outside hitter Billie Klutts recorded eight assists.
The Lady Hornets (5-6) triumphed in the freshman match 25-12 and 25-22. Setter Victoria Langley added two assists and five kills, outside hitter Tori Brandt had two digs and two assists, and outside hitter Kendall Love contributed two assists.
Fulton travels to NCMC rival Mexico for a varsity-junior varsity doubleheader at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

MARSHALL -- The Owls scored just 2 minutes into Thursday night's NCMC game, then reeled off three more first-half goals in toppling the Hornets.
The loss dropped Fulton to 10-7 overall and 4-3 in the North Central Missouri Conference. Marshall -- whose only loss this season came to Columbia Rock Bridge -- improved to 12-1 on the season and 6-0 in conference play.
"It was bad right from the start," Hornets head coach Dave Milligan said. "I didn't have the guys ready to play, Marshall recognized that and jumped on us right away. We tried to survive the rest of the half."
The Hornets came up with their only goal with 5 minutes left in the game when junior midfielder Jake Pierce scored off a restart. Fulton managed only two shots on goal and had just one corner kick.
Fulton (5-0-2) won the junior varsity game 1-0 when sophomore midfielder Scott Strough scored off an assist from junior defender Sam Mayne. Junior goalkeeper Nick Heimericks was credited with the shutout.
The Hornets play at Warrensburg at 5 p.m. Monday.

Quarterback Dalton Horstmeier ran for two scores and also had one of the Hornets' three interceptions from his safety spot in their win Thursday night at Robert E. Fisher Stadium.
Horstmeier scored on runs of 82 and 6 yards as Fulton evened its season record at 2-2. Tailback Kegan Lee also had a 12-yard touchdown run for the Hornets, while linebacker John Kingsley picked up a fumble on the ensuing kickoff and returned it 40 yards for a Fulton score.
Linebacker Chris Tilson and defensive back T.J. Buckson also came up with interceptions for the Hornets' defense.
"Kirksville couldn't really do anything offensively; we were flying to the ball and were in the right areas," Fulton coach Jeremy Washington said. "Our offensive line did a great job of creating holes up front."
The Hornets travel to Moberly at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18.
