Mexico man killed on I-70

A Mexico man is dead after an accident on Interstate 70 Wednesday night.

According to the Highway Patrol, 36-year-old Brad Allison crashed his car into the median on I-70 just west of Kingdom City. Authorities were on the way to the accident when Allison was struck by two vehicles and killed.

Allison had left his car and was walking away from the vehicle when the accident happened.

The Highway Patrol said Allison was initially sideswiped by a 2000 Pontiac, driven by Marissa L. Brown, 18, of Mexico. Then, a 2008 Jeep, driven by Judy M. Freeman, 67, of Columbia struck Allison head-on.

Dori Burke, an investigator with the Medical Examiner's office, pronounced Allison dead at the scene at 5:30 p.m.

Both vehicles were traveling westbound when the accident happened at the 144 mile marker.

Neither of the other drivers were injured in the accident. Brown was able to drive her vehicle from the scene of the accident, but Freeman's 2008 Jeep was totaled in the crash.

Allison was the only person in the vehicle at the time of his original accident.
