The T-Birds had four players in double figures in their most balanced offensive output of the season, led by senior forward Andrew Attebery's 13 points and eight rebounds. Senior forward Jacob Stafford and sophomore forward Zack Eads were right behind him with 12 points and junior guard had 10 points in the 61-46 win over Van-Far.
Lavy also eight rebounds and added six assists and six steals. North Callaway's defensive effort forced Van-Far (0-6) into 32 turnovers
"The players played hard and it was a good follow up to the Eldon game," head coach Tim Turlington said. "Good defense caused turnovers, which caused some buckets and all the players played well."
The T-Birds (2-5) will return to the court at California on January 4 at 6 p.m.

VANDALIA - The Lady Birds squeaked out just five points in the first quarter and were down 29-15 at halftime.
Senior guard Kelsey West led the Lady Birds with 16 points and seven rebounds. Junior guard Jordan Gray and freshman forward Maddie Sorell each had 11 points for North Callaway (2-4).
Van Far (2-4) got a game-high 20 points from Kasey Gatson and 17 and 10 points from Leah Johnson and Sally Brookshier respectively. The Lady Birds host Blair Oaks on January at 6 p.m.
Fulton basketball (V/B)................34
BOWLING GREEN - The Hornets improved to 6-1 on the season, edging out the host Bobcats in a defensive battle on Saturday. One night after putting up 38 second-half points on North Central Missouri Conference opponent Kirksville, Fulton managed a season-low 34 points in victory.
Senior guard Rob Pittman was the only Hornets player in double figures with 10 points. Senior guard Anthony Porter was Fulton's next high man with nine points.
Fulton's junior varsity had an easier time in its game against Bowling Green, winning 46-7 on Saturday to stay undefeated at 4-0. Jake Nickelson led the Hornets with 12 points and Burke Echelmeier had seven.
The varsity Hornets play Eldon at home tonight at 7:30 while the junior varsity team returns to action on Jan. 4 at Hannibal.

MARTIN, Tenn., - The Owls lost in exhibition to the host from Tennessee-Martin on Sunday. Sophomore guard Logan Decker led William Woods with 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field. Decker was joined in double figures by two of his teammates, both in the Owls backcourt.
Senior Dan Anderson and freshman Jonathon Nutt each tacked on 10 points for William Woods, now 4-9. The Owls shot 42 percent from the field, including a 7-of-15 clip from behind the 3-point arc.
William Woods next plays in the Cougars vs. Cancer Classic in Columbia against Baker University at Dec. 31 at 4 p.m.

BABSON PARK, Fla., - The 13th ranked Owls outlasted Xavier by five points on the campus of Webber International University on Sunday. Despite shooting just 31 percent from the field on the day, the Owls held Xavier to just 25 percent shooting to move to 12-0 on the season.
Senior forward Rachel Baker led all scorers with 14 points on on just 3-of-12 shooting but going a perfect 8-of-8 from the free throw line and grabbing a team-high 10 rebounds. Junior center Miranda Loesch was the only other William Woods player in double figures with 10 points and hit 3-of-4 field goals.
The Owls didn't have as much trouble on Friday evening, easily dispatching the hosting Webber International Warriors by a score 71-50 in the weekend's opening game.
Senior forward Justine Gerber had a team-high 15 points while Baker added on 10 points and had four assists and four rebounds. The Owls face Campbellsville University in the Cougars vs. Cancer Classic on Dec. 31 at 2 p.m.

The Blue Jays ended a two-game losing streak with a home victory over Central College on Saturday. After trailing 35-33 at halftime, Westminster took a 63-60 lead in the second half and never let it go.
Three Blue Jays were in double figures led by senior forward Justin Gilmore's 20 points. Senior forward Jake Vislay and sophomore guard Skylar Tolson each had 13 points while freshman guard Joe James finished with nine points.
Westminster (5-4) will take a break for Christmas before traveling to Hilo, Hawaii to take on the University of Hawaii-Hilo on Dec. 30 at 3:30 Hawaii standard time.

The T-Birds ended their season with a loss to the Eagles on Sunday. Cole Branson lead North Callaway with 12 points for the team, which finishes the season with a record of 6-9.
