An Illinois man drowned Wednesday afternoon at the Lake of the Ozarks after apparently suffering an unknown medical condition.
Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the incident occurred around 4:40 p.m. in Camden County in the 200 block of Breezy Point Drive, at the 3-mile mark of the Big Niangua.
Stephen Malec, 67, fell into the water off a dock and was retrieved from the water by another person on the scene. He was pronounced dead at the the scene.
