Men arrested for marijuana farming

MEXICO - Three men were arrested Wednesday in Audrain County for trespassing and illegally cultivating marijuana, according to the Audrain County Sheriff's Office.

Among the men were two Auxvasse residents: Lindell Lee Keeter, 57, and Maurice Ray Nolan, 67. The third man, 69-year-old Robert Wayne Haynes, is a resident of Mexico.

In August, the ACSO received complaints from Audrain roads 148 and 638 of individuals trespassing on rural properties to cultivate marijuana. Deputies arrested the three suspects Wednesday.

All three were arrested for manufacturing a controlled substance and second-degree trespassing.

Haynes was additionally arrested for delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Also Wednesday, deputies executed search warrants in the 100 block of South Grand Street in Mexico and the 6000 block of County Road 262 near Auxvasse.

Investigators seized 19 cultivated marijuana plants, a pound of processed marijuana, and multiple items used in the illegal cultivation and distribution of marijuana.

The men were taken to the Audrain County Jail for booking and processing and then released on summons.

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office and the Fulton Police Department's Special Response Unit aided in the investigation, according to the ACSO.
