Stolen items recovered after arrests

Two Fulton residents were arrested Thursday after it was discovered the vehicle they were in had a stolen license plate, according to the Fulton Police Department.

At 1:59 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop related to traffic violations near Carver Drive and Westminster Avenue. During the stop, officers noted the vehicle bore a stolen plate. Officers searched the vehicle, uncovering a stolen firearm, according to the arrest report.

The driver, Lorenzo Kemp, 21, was arrested for driving while suspended, unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of receiving stolen property and tampering with a witness. His passenger, Ashley Bailey, 28, was arrested for possession of stolen property.

The two were taken to the Callaway County Jail. Bailey's bond was set at $7,000, while Kemp was held without a bond pending a court bond setting.
