After reports of stolen vehicles were reported recently, a Holts Summit man already on probation was rearrested.

Joshua Temmen, 26, of Holts Summit, was arrested at 10 a.m. Sunday for felony stealing. Subsequently, the state's Department of Corrections issued a parole violation for Temmen, as well. He was taken to the Callaway County Jail to be held without bond.

Callaway County Sheriff's deputies conducted a follow-up investigation Sunday in the 12000 block of County Road 4031, part of an extensive investigation into rural theft offenses in the Holts Summit area.

Deputies found a stolen vehicle Sunday from Osage County. On Oct. 1, deputies also recovered a stolen vehicle in the same area, taken in Holts Summit.

Temmen was arrested March 14 for felony stealing and released on a court-set bond of $2,000 on March 15. Deputies learned there was a parole detainer warrant issued for Temmen after he had posted bond, and he was apprehended March 16 and taken back to the county jail.

In 2016, Temmen, then 24, was arrested for stealing and driving while revoked after an extensive amount of stolen property, including power tools and a lawn tractor, were recovered in the Holts Summit area.

At that time, Temmen was also on probation and parole for a previous burglary conviction. In August 2016, Temmen led deputies on a chase in a stolen truck in the New Bloomfield area during which he struck an unoccupied truck and a shed, causing felony property damage. He eventually abandoned the truck and ran into a soybean field. A Highway Patrol helicopter was brought in to assist and a resident reported seeing Temmen hiding in a shed. He was taken into custody.

More information about Temmen is available on Missouri's Casenet.

Another man was arrested Sunday on drug charges. Deputies investigated a suspicious activity report at 10:55 p.m. Sunday near the Interstate 70 interchange in Kingdom City and found the suspect vehicle about 15 minutes later on North Bluff Street in Fulton.

During an investigative stop, a passenger identified as Branden Akers, 33, of Mokane, was found in possession of methamphetamine and drug related items. He was arrested for felony possession and taken into custody.
