The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney on Monday charged Stephen Abbott, 39, of Holts Summit, with the felony offenses of child abuse and tampering with a victim.
These charges are the result of an investigation March 3 conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of the Missouri Children's Division, near Holts Summit.
Abbott was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail, where he was held on a bond of $10,000, which he later posted.
He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday according to online court records.
