The balloon glow drew awe from many attendees Friday night at Memorial Park during the Fulton Street Fair.

As one of the capstone events of the evening, the balloon glow drew local hot air balloon owners to show off their impressive possessions.

"It's just a bunch of friends that bring their balloons out and show them off," Brian Taylor, a hot air balloon owner, said.

Taylor said the event was supposed to bring eight to 10 hot air balloons to be put on display, but due to weather concerns, only two were in attendance.

The two balloons that showed up to the park drew lines of dazzled young children and curious spectators to see how the balloons worked up close.

Taylor has been coming to the Fulton Street Fair for the past three years to show off his balloon and was disappointed he didn't have help bringing it out this year. Taylor elected to help out the other balloon owners with their attractions.

"I wouldn't have thought the weather would have turned out this nice," Taylor said.

The balloons remained earthbound, impressing onlookers with their colorful glow.
