The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in Callaway County for the two-week period of July 15-26. The projects listed will include lane closures that could cause traffic delays. Full roadway closures are also noted. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule.

Daylight Hours
Route F between U.S. 54 and Route J - Striping operations will take place this week.
Route J between Interstate 70 and U.S. 54 - Striping operations will take place this week.
Route M between Interstate 70 and Route E - Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday through Thursday. The road will be closed daily between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the work area.
Route M between Route E and the Callaway County line - Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will be replacing ten culvert pipes along Callaway County Route M starting next week. The work will close Route M in various locations between Interstate 70 and the Audrain County line from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through July 25. Message boards will advise motorists of the specific closures and detour routes each day. MoDOT appreciates the patience of travelers during the work.
Route O between Route D and State Street - Resurfacing, shoulder additions and ADA improvements continue. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route Y between routes J and M in Boone County - Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route CC between Missouri 94 and Route O - Pavement repair will take place Monday through July 25.
Route MM between Route J and County Road 389 - Striping operations will take place this week.
Route NN between Business Route 54 and County Road 435 - Striping operations will take place this week.
Online meeting
MoDOT has scheduled an online meeting to share information about an upcoming project that will make improvements to the Callaway County Route D bridge and roadway over Interstate 70.
The Route D bridge and roadway is located approximately 2.3 miles southwest of Williamsburg. The bridge over I-70 was built in 1963 and is 56 years old. The condition of the bridge has reached a point where bridge replacement is necessary.
Construction is scheduled to take place in 2020. During construction, Route D will be closed at the bridge location for up to three months. There will also be an eight hour closure on I-70 for one night to remove the existing bridge. Signs will alert motorists of the closed roads.
The total project cost is an estimated $2.1 million.
The online meeting comment period will run from Monday to July 29.
