KINGDOM CITY - A Fulton man wanted for violating parole was arrested Saturday.

Richard Smith Jr., 42, was taken into custody on the parole violation warrant (his original conviction was for felony possession of a controlled substance) and for felony possession of a controlled substance - meth.

At 6:32 a.m., Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived in the 3000 block of Gold Road in Kingdom City to investigate suspicious activity. While investigating, deputies contacted Smith and determined he was wanted.

Smith was arrested and taken to the Callaway County Jail, where his bond was set at $14,500.
