CCSO arrests wanted fugitive Wednesday evening

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office arrested a fugitive wanted in three counties on Wednesday evening.

While patrolling the area of County Road 134 and County Road 135 near Williamsburg at 11:44 p.m., the CCSO K9 unit observed a suspicious vehicle parked in a farm entrance. Deputies identified the occupant as Richard Harmon, 36, of Warrensburg. It was determined Harmon was a wanted felon in Lafayette, Johnson and Carroll counties. According to the CCSO, Harmon's felony charges included possession of a controlled substance, criminal non-support and probation violation.

According to Missouri CaseNet, Harmon was wanted on warrants issued by Lafayette County in September and Carroll County in October.

Harmon was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail. On Thursday, custody of Harmon was transferred to the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office. According to the CCSO, Harmon was under the supervision of the Missouri Department of Corrections' board of probation and parole at the time of his arrest.
