JEFFERSON CITY — The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in Callaway County for the two-week period of April 15-26. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause traffic delays.

Business U.S. 54 between the Route H and U.S. 54 interchange: Pavement improvement operations will resume this week. In addition to the paving operations, various side street approaches are scheduled to be resurfaced within the work area.

Resurfacing operation at Silver Drive is scheduled during the daylight hours Monday and Tuesday. One lane of traffic will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The south portion of the project is scheduled to have new asphalt shoulders constructed at after the completion of Silver Drive operation.

Jefferson City

Roadwork in Jefferson city may also impact Callaway County traffic. A routine inspection of the eastbound U.S. 54/Southbound U.S. 63 bridge over the Missouri River in Jefferson City will close one lane on the bridge Monday through Thursday. The bridge will be inspected from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day.

MoDOT appreciates the patience of motorists who may experience minor traffic delays on the bridge during the inspection.
