2 arrests made in separate disturbances

Fulton police made two arrests during unrelated disturbances late Tuesday night.

At 11:39 p.m., officers investigated a civil dispute at the Country Hearth Inn, 556 Amerihost Drive. During the investigation, officers located methamphetamine in the possession of Julie L. Jones, of Sturgeon, according to the arrest report.

The 50-year-old was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and transported to the Fulton Police Department where she was released on summons.

Separately, at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday morning, officers arrived at the Fulton McDonalds following a report of a fight involving people armed with guns. When officers arrived on scene, they made contact with one of the individuals involved, whom they recognized as Charles Braxton, of Fulton. The 43-year-old fled on foot from officers and hid in a wooded area, according to the arrest report.

Officers, along with the Callaway County Sheriff's Office and K9 Iro, located Braxton. Iro also helped find Braxton's firearm, which he discarded while fleeing, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Braxton was arrested for felony resisting arrest by flight and felony unlawful possession of a firearm. He was transported to the Callaway County Jail with no bond.
