Callaway County sheriff's deputies arrested a Fulton man Wednesday following a joint execution of a drug warrant.

Arrested was Joshua Byrd, 29, who was charged with felony delivery of a controlled substance (meth), felony maintaining a public nuisance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia (prior offender) and possession of marijuana.

Byrd is being held in the Callaway County Jail on the aforementioned probable cause offenses awaiting a judge bond setting.

Deputies previously executed a drug search warrant June 19 at the same residence, the 200 block of St. Francis Street in Fulton. Byrd also was arrested then on felony drug charges and was later released from jail after posting a court-set bond set.

Assisting in Wednesday's 5:45 a.m. warrant execution were members of Fulton Police Department's Special Response Unit and members of the Mustang drug task force. The warrant had been obtained as the result of a drug investigation conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff's Office. During the search warrant execution, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located.

This was not Byrd's first brush with law officers. He was arrested in 2016 with three others following a drug bust in the area of St. Francis and West Chestnut streets.

He pleaded guilty in June 2013 to misdemeanor domestic assault and property damage, pleaded guilty in May 2011 to felony charges of theft and second-degree burglary, and pleaded guilty in April 2010 to felony receiving stolen property.

On July 7, 2014, the Fulton Sun reported he was arrested with three other men after an Auxvasse man was assaulted and robbed in Fulton. He and the others were each charged with felony second-degree robbery. He pleased guilty to a felony charge of "physically taking property appropriated from a victim," according to Missouri Case.net, the state's court informational system.
