Deputies make multiple weekend arrests

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office made multiple arrests this weekend, including several involving illegal drugs.

• A Kingdom City man was arrested Saturday following a trespassing complaint, said Lt. Curtis Hall of the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.

Roger Pitts, 45, was subsequently arrested for first-degree trespassing and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

At 8:53 p.m. Saturday, a deputy arrived at a business in the 3000 block of Gold Road in Kingdom City, Hall said. Upon investigation and making contact with the suspect, the deputy arrested the man, identified as Pitts. The deputy located methamphetamine on Pitts’ person, Hall added.

Pitts’ bond was set at $4,500.

• Also Saturday, two wanted Jefferson City men were arrested near Holts Summit.

Travis Williams, 18, was under a Cole County warrant for charges of first-degree robbery and possession of marijuana. Larry Lett, 18, faced a Callaway County warrant for possession of marijuana.

At 10:39 p.m., a deputy patrolling State Road AA stopped a vehicle driven by Williams for a traffic violation, Hall said.

The deputy identified Williams and his passenger, Lett, and noted that they were wanted. Both were arrested and transported to the Callaway County jail.

Williams’ bond was set at $11,500. Lett paid his $250 bond and was released, Hall said.

• Finally, two Mexico residents were arrested Sunday during an investigation near Millersburg.

Austin Cash, 20, faces Audrain and Boone County charges of unlawful use of a weapon, stealing, receiving stolen property and a probation violation. He was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Hall said.

Tamijah Williams, 20, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and refusal to identify as a witness.

At 8:58 p.m. Sunday, deputies arrived at a residence in the 2000 block of County Road 334 near Millersburg in hopes of finding Cash as part of a criminal investigation, Hall said. Upon locating Cash, deputies took him into custody; he was later transferred to the Audrain County Jail.

Williams was also arrested during the investigation. She was taken to the Callaway County Jail and later released on bond pending a court appearance.
