KINGDOM CITY, Mo. -- A raid in the Kingdom City area Tuesday afternoon resulted in the arrest of eight people and seizure of drugs, according to a Callaway County Sheriff's Office news release.
Those arrested were from Kingdom City, Fulton, Columbia and Auxvasse and range in age from 20-57.
Callaway County deputies and others executed a search warrant at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at a property in the 5500 block of Old Highway 40 in Kingdom City. The warrant had been obtained as the result of a criminal investigation conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff's Office in the Kingdom City area.
Officers seized 3.5 pounds of methamphetamine, nearly 1 pound of marijuana, firearms and drug paraphernalia.
Callaway County deputies were assisted by officers of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; the Missouri Highway Patrol; the Cole County Sheriff's Office; the Audrain County Sheriff's Office; the Mustang Drug Task Force and the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force.
The following arrests were made in the Kingdom City area:
- Kenneth McClure, 39, of Kingdom City, for a Montgomery County felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance. McClure was transported to the Callaway County Jail, where he posted a court-set bond of $10,000.
- Carl Baker, 57, of Kingdom City, for unlawful possession of a firearm (felon in possession). Baker was transported to the Callaway County Jail, where he posted a court-set bond of $4,500.
- Marcus Spears, 37, of Fulton, for felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Spears was transported to the Callaway County Jail, where he posted a court-set bond of $5,500.
- Shawn Buck, 20, of Kingdom City, for felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Buck was transported to the Callaway County Jail, where he posted a court-set bond of $4,500.
- Brittney Wyatte, 27, of Columbia, for felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and a Macon County warrant for felony possession of a controlled substance. Wyatte was transported to the Callaway County Jail, where she is being held on a court-set bond of $12,500.
- Bruce Mason, 25, of Columbia, for possession of drug paraphernalia. Mason was transported to the Callaway County Jail and later released on a court summons for appearance.
- Bart Rigby, 39, of Auxvasse, for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rigby was transported to the Callaway County Jail, where he posted a court-set bond of $1,000.
- Triston Redmon, 20, of Kingdom City, for possession of drug paraphernalia and a Callaway County warrant for littering. Redmon was transported to the Callaway County Jail, where he posted a court-set bond of $500.
The investigation is ongoing, and further arrests and charges are possible.
