Barnett man arrested after fleeing from authorities

A Barnett man has been taken into custody after fleeing from Moniteau County Sheriff's Department deputies.

Aaron Hausner, 26, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Sheriff's Department reports.

Deputies were on routine patrol last Wednesday when they noticed a vehicle, driven by Hausner, traveling on Coal Banks Road with no license plates. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, but Hausner accelerated and fled.

The pursuit continued until Hausner ran off the road and into a ditch. He then jumped out of the vehicle and continued to flee on foot on Pleasant Hill Road and into a field where deputies overtook him and placed him into custody.

A search of Hausner's vehicle turned up marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to Sheriff's Department reports.
