Brick District to kick off holiday season

Fulton city workers put up holiday decor on Court Street last fall. A big kick off the the holiday season will be Nov. 2-3 in the Brick District.

The Fulton Brick District announced the annual Holiday Sneak Peak will be Nov. 2-3 in downtown Fulton.

The event will start 5-8:30 p.m. Nov. 2 and continue Nov. 3 during individual store business hours. The event will have activities for the whole family to enjoy.

All of the special events will be Nov. 2. People can compete for prizes in the Turkey Strut. This event will take place in front of Farmer's Insurance at 524 Court St. Prizes are provided by Moser's and there is no cost for participation.

There will be a photo booth from 5-8 p.m. in front of Sault's Drug Store. Participation is free. Carriage rides will be offered courtesy of J&R Carriages at $5 per person; children under 5 ride for free.

Downtown businesses will also be collecting names to be entered in a raffle for gift certificates that are good throughout the Brick District. The drawing will take place at 8 p.m. in front of Smockingbird's at 529 Court St.

Also, there will be carolers from Fulton High School.

Additional sponsors for the event are Moser's supermarket, The Callaway Bank and Central Bank.

The Brick District Association is a downtown leadership organization focusing on business recruitment, retention, beautification, communications and marketing of the Brick District in Fulton.
