Investigations, search warrants yield 5 arrests

Callaway County Sheriff's Department deputies wound up the week with several search warrants executed and five arrests made.

At 7:06 a.m. Thursday, deputies executed a warrant at a residence in the 1500 block of Monroe Street in Fulton following a criminal investigation. Fulton police also assisted.

As a result of the investigation and search warrant execution, methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia related to the sale of drugs were located. The investigation is ongoing, and further arrests and charges are possible.

Those arrested include:

Mario Crump, 52, of Fulton, for felony delivery of a controlled substance (meth), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Crump was taken to the Callaway County Jail where he later posted a court-set bond of $5,000.

Michael Simpson, 66, of Fulton for felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Simpson was taken to the Callaway County Jail where he later posted a court-set bond of $5,000.

Gilroy Clark, 53, of Fulton for felony possession of a controlled substance. Clark was taken to the Callaway County Jail where he remains on a court-set bond of $4,500.

Deputies also executed a drug search warrant near Guthrie at 5:25 p.m. Thursday. This was at a residence in the 1700 block of state Road Y near Guthrie. Cole County deputies and state Highway Patrol troopers also assisted with the investigation and execution of the warrant. Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found.

Amy Hickman, 53, of Jefferson City, was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance (meth) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hickman was transported to the Callaway County Jail where she later posted a court-set bond of $5,000.

In a third incident, the Callaway County prosecutor's office charged Justin Pembleton, 38, of Fulton, on Oct. 10 with two felony counts of receiving stolen property. The charges were the result of a Callaway County Sheriff's Office investigation conducted near Millersburg on Oct. 8. On that date, deputies recovered two vehicles that had been stolen from Boone County.

Pembleton was located at a residence near Millersburg at 5:10 p.m. Oct. 10 and taken into custody by Callaway County deputies. He was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he posted a court-set bond of $9,000.

The investigation is ongoing and further arrests/charges are possible, officials said.
