Auxiliary card party planned

Members of the Fulton Medical Hospital Auxiliary know when to hold 'em: Every April and October.

Another card-party fundraiser is planned Oct. 29 at Callaway Electric, 1313 Cooperative Drive, in Fulton. The party is planned for 1-4 p.m.

One of the auxiliary's primary fundraisers, twice a year, on the fourth Mondays of April and October, the auxiliary hosts one of its afternoon parties. Proceeds support the auxiliary's efforts: the hospital's gift shop, scholarships for students seeking medical professions and also items that support patient comfort.

There will be a drawing for $50, plus snacks and games of all kinds - marbles, bridge, dominoes and poker.

All are welcome.

Last April, one member said she'd been to many auxiliary parties over the past four decades.

"I'm the oldest member," said Wanda Wickell, of Fulton, who was 95 at the time and is also an accomplished artist and gardener.
