Scholarships awarded to Callaway students

 

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The St. Mary's Hospital Foundation has awarded 12 scholarships to individuals who are pursuing nursing degrees and other education and training to further their technical, medical or professional abilities in health care.

The 2018 scholarship award recipients include:

Christopher Campbell, of Jefferson City; Jamie Gilliland, of California; Carlene Green, of Jefferson City; Grace Haarmann, of Jefferson City; Sarah Heckemyer, of St. Elizabeth; Julie Huffman, of Fulton; Sheryl McClain, of Holts Summit; Lacie Nixdorf, of Tuscumbia; Jessie Pace, of Jefferson City; Abby Rockers, of Centertown; and Alicia Weber, of New Bloomfield.

Cody Hearther, of Jefferson City, is the recipient of the 2018 Sister Mary Jean Ryan-Lincoln University Nursing Scholarship in the amount of $2,500. This scholarship is awarded each year to a Lincoln University nursing student who exemplifies excellence in education and the core values aligned with the mission of St. Mary's.

The Foundation has awarded scholarships since the inception of the scholarship fund in 2001. Ongoing fundraising efforts support future student and employee scholarships.
