Despite the slow-to-arrive spring, members of the Fulton Garden Club have been busy growing goods for their annual plant sale.

This popular sale is planned Saturday as part of the Fulton Farmers Market, on Fifth Street in front of the Callaway County courthouse. This is the second weekend for the farmer's market this year.

"Funds go to scholarships and other project we do in the community," garden club member Melody Clark said.

The sale will be 9 a.m.-noon. Plants will be marked with species and particulars such as shade/sun, color, perennial, picture if available and any other special instructions.

So far, the sales list includes Papercrete planted pots, orange and pink day lilies, perennial ferns, Coreopsis, succulents, New England asters, lemon balm, garlic chives, yellow Stella de Ora, St. John's Wort, and black-eyed Susans. More than 20 hanging baskets are also available.
