Fugitives arrested in Fulton

More charges could be filed in an incident reported at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday in Fulton.

Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chism stated deputies arrested a wanted fugitive, Bradley Foutes, 29, of Fulton, a wanted fugitive, while searching for a second fugitive, Brandon Byrd, 33, also of Fulton.

Acting upon information concerning Byrd, deputies went to a residence in the 400 block of East Second Street where Foutes was encountered.

As deputies attempted to take Foutes into custody, a physical struggle ensued. Fulton Police officers also responded to provide emergency assistance and Foutes was taken into custody.

Deputies entered the residence and located and arrested Byrd without incident.

Foutes was wanted on a Franklin County felony warrant for assault. Foutes was also arrested for probable cause offenses of felony resisting arrest and felony hindering prosecution. Foutes was transported to the Callaway County Jail without bond pending a court bond setting.

Byrd was arrested on several Callaway County felony warrants for charges of burglary, assault, property damage, and violation of a protection order. Byrd was placed in the Callaway County Jail pending a court-set bond of $26,000.
