Locals jump in Saturday's Polar Plunge

Fulton High School Student Council members participated in the Polar Bear Plunge Saturday at Bass Pro Shops in Columbia, raising $1,065, according to the Special Olympics Missouri website.

North Callaway Student Council members raised $300 on Saturday for the Polar Bear Plunge which supports Special Olympics. Special Olympics is the state-wide philanthropic organization supported by the Missouri Association of Student Councils. 

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office team raised $1,425 during the recent campaign to assist the Special Olympics. On Sunday, several off-duty deputies and their family members participated in the local Special Olympics' Polar Plunge at Bass Pro in Columbia. Don Dame had the honor of wearing the rainbow unicorn for most money collected in cannisters set around the county's law enforcement center.
