Fulton police made several arrests over the weekend.

On Saturday, police arrested two at the Westwood Motel, said Sgt. Garrett Poole, of the Fulton Police Department.

Michael Hook, Jr., 24, of Fulton, was arrested on several warrants, including probation and parole warrants for two counts of burglary and a failure-to-appear warrant for larceny.

Rachel McFarland, of Holts Summit, was in the same motel room, Poole said. While arresting Hook, an officer noticed drug paraphernalia inside the hotel room. Poole stated that after obtaining a search warrant, officers discovered multiple drug paraphernalia items. McFarland, 33, was also arrested and charged with drug paraphernalia.

McFarland was released on a summons. Hook's bond totals $10,500.

Police were called to a burglary in progress at 8:21 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of West 8th Street, Sgt. D.B. McGrath said.

Police arrested Isaac D. Butler, 32, at the scene for first-degree burglary and fourth-degree assault.

McGrath said the homeowner told police that when she had arrived home, she found Butler inside and he assaulted her. The victim received non-life-threatening injuries, McGrath added.

Butler, a Fulton resident, was transported to the Callaway County Jail and held on no bond pending review by a judge.
