Deadline to register to vote July 11

The last day to register to vote for the Aug. 7 primary election is July 11.

Candidate filings closed May 29 for this primary.

The general election is slated for Nov. 6, and people who have registered to vote by Oct. 10 may vote in this election. Candidate filing takes place from Aug. 21-28 for this election.

People can file or register to vote at the Callaway County Clerk's office in the courthouse, 10 E. Fifth St. in Fulton.

Open seats for county offices in 2018 include: associate circuit judges, clerk of the circuit court, collector of revenue, county auditor, county clerk, presiding county commissioner, prosecuting attorney, and recorder of deeds. Qualified candidates must be United States citizens, residents of Missouri for at least a year, a registered Missouri voter, not delinquent in state, personal or real property taxes, or municipal taxes, and not convicted of a felony.
