Don Seitz recently joined The Callaway Bank as a commercial and agriculture lender. His primary responsibilities include helping owners build and strengthen their companies.

Before joining the bank, Seitz was a successful entrepreneur in the property management industry. He started Modern Property Groups in 2011 and grew the company to the largest in the mid-Missouri area with more than 1,500 units and 15 employees. Seitz's firsthand experience as a business owner, and building a successful company, provides him key insights to sit on the other side of the desk and advise bank clients.

"Don's knowledge of real estate and property management, specifically in the Columbia market, will prove helpful when working with established customers and also those interested in getting into business for themselves," said Josh Stephenson, Columbia Market president. "Customers will benefit from Don's high level of expertise, strong work ethic, and extensive legal background as he helps our customers recognize and accomplish their goals."

Seitz graduated from law school in 2003, and while working as a trial attorney, he began buying properties for renovation and leasing. That is when he discovered his passion for real estate. His portfolio grew to a point where he chose to focus on real estate full time. In 2017 Seitz sold his company and felt a calling for new challenges that would harness his unique set of skills. His experience of sitting on the owner's side of the desk with commercial real estate, lending, SBA processes, and funds management made him a perfect fit as a commercial lender with The Callaway Bank.

"The Callaway Bank's approach to business and their clients felt like a perfect fit for me. It's about solving problems for my clients and satisfying their needs and passions. The bank's culture and suite of business services will allow me to continue to help others succeed," said Seitz. "I look forward to sharing my experience and knowledge with our current and prospective clients."

Seitz is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Law. He was a member of Columbia Business Times' 20 Under 40 Class of 2015. A native of Columbia, Seitz enjoys bow hunting and spending time on the family farm with his wife, Julia, and their daughter. His office is at The Callaway Bank's Chapel Hill branch on the corner of Chapel Hill Road and Forum Boulevard
