Area residents injured in crashes

A Rhineland woman received moderate injuries and totalled her 2009 Dodge Caliber in a traffic accident reported at 7:18 p.m. Monday on Missouri 94, just east of Route C, according to a report by Missouri state troopers.

Kendrea J. Burwell, 22, was taken to University Hospital after she lost control of the vehicle and it overturned. Callaway County deputies assisted troopers.

Another accident was reported at 1:25 p.m. Monday on U.S. 54 eastbound, near County Road 110. A 2002 Ford Explorer driven by Jillian A. Bryant, 15, of Fulton, was passing a 2003 Ford F350 when it experienced a flat tire, lost control and struck the F350. Both vehicles went down a steep embankment and struck a ditch.

The driver of the F350, Joshua B. Murray, 39, of Fulton, received minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Troopers also report that Curt A. Ledbetter, 38, of New Bloomfield, was arrested at 8:28 p.m. Saturday in Boone County and charged with driving while intoxicated and speeding 97 in a 70 mile per hour zone.
