Callaway Youth Expo kicks off in Auxvasse

AUXVASSE, Mo. — The Callaway Youth Expo begins today and runs through Saturday.

One of the highlights of this annual event is the 4-H and FFA country ham breakfast, starting at 7:30 a.m. at Auxvasse Elementary School cafeteria. Tickets are $10, and ages 5 and younger are free.

The expo will be at the Auxvasse Lions Club Park, 600 E. Chestnut St. Go online for more information, visit callawayyouthexpo.com. Youth organizations involved include 4-H, FFA, and Girl and Boy Scouts.

Today

1 p.m. — 4-H Demonstrations followed by Public Speaking

4 p.m. — 4-H Conference Judging

4 p.m. — FFA Exhibit Registration (ends at 7 p.m.)

4 p.m. — Hams/Bacon Check-In (ends at 6 p.m.)

7 p.m. — Movie in the Park

Wednesday

10 a.m. — Sheep & Goat in Place, Weigh-In to Follow

12:30 p.m. — Fashion Review Clinic

1 p.m. — 4-H Fashion Review

2 p.m. — 4-H/FFA Royalty Interviews

3 p.m. — 4-H/FFA Royalty Contest

3 p.m. — Food Stand Open

4 p.m. — Home Arts Open (School)

4 p.m. — Bounce House Open

4 p.m. — Goat Breeding and Market Show, followed by Sheep Breeding and Market Show

7 p.m. — Dance (all ages welcome)

Thursday

6 a.m. — Earliest arrival for Swine

9:30 a.m. — Swine in Place

10 a.m. — Swine Weigh-In

11 a.m. — Food Stand Open

2 p.m. — Home Arts Open (School)

2 p.m. — Super Farmer Contest (Arena)
