Crowds begin to gather along Court Street for the annual Independence Day Parade, which started at 11 a.m. Wednesday at William Woods University and concluded at Memorial Park. David Beaver and several of his friends began the parade in 2012, and this year several officer veterans who served 20 years or more were honored.
