Photo class on tap at city hall

Fulton professional photographer Joe Fague will conduct a digital photography class in three sessions in February.

The cost is $35, and registration is open until Feb. 1. The classes will be 6-8 p.m. Feb. 6, 20 and 27 at Fulton City Hall.

"We've probably offered this class a good seven-plus years," said Sharlene McArtor, assistant director of Parks and Recreation.

She said topics include an explanation of camera settings, lighting situations including portrait photography, and how to use digital editing programs such as Adobe Photoshop.

Because class sizes are small - five-10 people, generally - there is time for personalized instruction and critique of "homework" assignments, McArtor added.

The class is offered through the city's Parks and Recreation Department. Registration forms can be picked up at the office or downloaded from www.fultonmo.org. Call 592-3190.

In March, a popular beginner cake decorating class will be offered and youth kickball registration will open.
