Crashes cause injuries

A USPS mail truck was involved in a two-vehicle crash, reported at 2:05 p.m. Thursday to Missouri Highway Patrol troopers.

The report stated a 2015 Ford F150, driven by Richard L. Teel, 57, of Fulton, was headed south on Route HH, just north of Callaway County Road 221. Troopers said the Ford was attempting to overtake a 1994 Chevrolet mail truck driven by Latricia D. Gardia, 48, of Columbia, which was turning left. The Ford sideswiped the mail truck.

Garcia was transported to Fulton Medical Center with minor injuries. Troopers said she was wearing a safety device.

Troopers also said a one-vehicle Callaway County crash was reported at 3 p.m. Feb. 1 on Route FF, just west of U.S. 54. A 1988 Toyota pickup driven by Roy D. Cameron. of Rolla, 50, traveled off the road and struck a culvert. Troopers said he sustained serious injuries and his vehicle was destroyed.

Troopers also reported one arrest. At 7:45 a.m. Feb. 7, Anthony L. Feely, 36, of New Bloomfield, was charged with driving while suspended, failure to display valid vehicle plates, no insurance, and a Jefferson City police misdemeanor warrant for no insurance.
