Drug search leads to Fulton man's arrest

A Fulton man was arrested Wednesday when law officers executed a drug search warrant in Fulton.

Gabriel Wainright, 29, was arrested for possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Callaway County Jail and later posted a $1,000 bond.

The warrant was executed at 6:45 a.m. by Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputies in the 800 block of Center Street. The search warrant had been obtained as the result of a Callaway County Sheriff's Office drug investigation. The Fulton Police Department - Special Response Unit and the Mustang drug task force assisted with the search warrant execution.

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office continues to work with other law enforcement agencies and community partners to curb criminal activity around the county, which many times is related to the manufacture, sale and/or possession of drugs. State Trooper reports

Nicole L. Williams, 36, of New Bloomfield, was arrested by troopers at 9:58 p.m. Wednesday in Callaway County. Charges include driving while intoxicated (alcohol), careless and imprudent driving involving a motor vehicle crash, and having no valid license. She was taken to the Callaway County Jail.

Randy L. Deppe, 40, of Holts Summit, was arrested at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Callaway County and charged with driving while revoked, speeding 82 mph in a 70 mph zone and providing false information. He was taken to the Cole County Jail on no bond.

Zachary P. Souers, 34, of Palm Harbor, Florida, was arrested at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday in Callaway County and charged with driving while intoxicated, and careless and imprudent driving involving a crash.

Laronn D. Westbrooks, 27, of Jefferson City, was arrested at 12:56 p.m. Tuesday in Callaway County and charged with driving while suspended. He also was found to be wanted on warrants from three counties: Callaway County for failure to appear/dangerous drugs; Saline County for failure to appear/traffic offense; and Jefferson City Police Department for failure to appear/speeding. He was placed in the Callaway County Jail.

Daniel C. Lockridge, 36, of Spring Hill, Tennessee, was arrested at 12:22 p.m. Tuesday in Callaway County for possession of a controlled substance/meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Callaway County Jail.

A minor injury accident was reported at 11:44 a.m. Monday on eastbound Interstate 70 at the 147 mile marker in Callaway County.

A 2006 Toyota Solara driven by Henry H. Pittman, 65, of Overland Park, Kansas, was in the left lane when another vehicle merged into that lane, cutting off the Toyota. Pittman drove off the left side into the median, overcorrected into the road and off the right side of the highway, and hit an embankment. His vehicle overturned and came to rest on its top.

He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital.

A Fulton woman received moderate injuries after a one-car crash reported last weekend.

Tasia L. Mason, 22, a passenger in a 2006 Ford Freestar driven by Danielle M. Handley, 26, also of Fulton, was taken by ambulance to University Hospital. They were on Route J at Route Y on Nov. 30 when the Ford went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, ran off the right side again and overturned.
