The Callaway County Sheriff's Office made several arrests Friday, Lt. Curtis Hall said.

A Holts Summit man was arrested Friday on drug and weapon charges. James Selph, 35, was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), unlawful use of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia (prior offender).

At 12:56 a.m. Friday, following a drug investigation, deputies executed a Callaway County drug search warrant in the 3400 block of Route AA near Holts Summit. The Mustang drug taskforce, Fulton Police Department (Special Response Unit) and the Holts Summit Police Department also aided the search. Methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and firearms were located.

Selph was transported to the Callaway County Jail, where he later posted a court-set bond of $9,500.

A Houston, Texas, man was arrested late Friday after a theft at AZZ, a commercial business at 7900 Old U.S. 54. Kevin Vu, 52, faces probable cause offenses of felony stealing, tampering with a witness in a felony prosecution and first-degree trespassing. He was also arrested on an unrelated Callaway County failure-to-appear warrant.

At 10:02, deputies arrived at AZZ following a report of a suspicious male inside the fenced-in, restricted area of the business. The area resident who reported the theft also confronted the suspect, Hall said. Deputies arrived soon after, arresting Vu and recovering a large number of items stolen from the business.

Vu was transported to the Callaway County Jail and held on a court-set $9,125 bond.

A Fulton man was arrested late Friday after a report of suspicious activity in Hams Prairie. While investigating the report at 11:22 p.m., deputies came into contact with Brandon Hughes, 22. Hughes was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, Hall said. He was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia (prior offender). Hughes was transported to the Callaway County Jail and his bond set at $4,500.
