North Callaway teacher recognized

KINGDOM CITY - North Callaway High School registrar Michaelle Fohey has been nominated for the 2018-19 national LifeChanger of the Year award.

Fohey is being recognized as a LifeChanger in her community for improving the lives of those around her. Every morning, before anyone arrives at school, Fohey sends out her daily Morning Motivation email to inspire her colleagues and kick-start the day. From her sense of style to her attention to detail, she is an individual who leads by example and is always willing to lend a helping hand.

Fohey was nominated by her principal, Brian Jobe.

"She greets, smiles and jokes through the most difficult of times, and she never misses the opportunity to nudge a kid towards better decisions in her own little way," Jobe said. "Michaelle Fohey has a positive effect on everyone she comes into contact with. She is a real LifeChanger, and North Callaway is proud to claim her."

Sponsored by the National Life Group Foundation, LifeChanger of the Year recognizes and rewards the very best K-12 educators and school district employees across the United States who are making a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence and leadership.

Each school year, LifeChanger of the Year receives hundreds of nominations from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Seventeen individual LifeChanger of the Year awards will be given during the 2018-19 school year.
