Two Fulton men were arrested Thursday following a traffic stop, Lt. Curtis Hall, of the Callaway County Sheriff's Office, said.

Brandon Hughes, 21, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. His passenger, 27-year-old Aaron Dannenmueller, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

At 1:22 p.m., a Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputy patroling Route HH west of Fulton stopped a vehicle driven by Hughes for a traffic violation, Hall stated. During the investigation, Hughes and Dannenmueller were found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Both were taken to the Callaway County Jail. Hughes' bond was set at $4,500 and Dannenmueller's at $5,000.

More charges could be added as the investigation continues, Hall said.
