Westminster College sophomore Katherine White and William Woods University senior Baylie Borman spoke Wednesday to the Fulton Breakfast Optimist Club. They are scholarship recipients of the Fulton Colleges Board of Associates.

"We are lucky to be a part of a community that believes in the concept of paying it forward. Thanks to the hard-working individuals, we have been funding scholarships to William Woods University and Westminster College for Callaway County high school students since 1967," Jenny Albert, president of Fulton Colleges Board of Associates, said.

"I am fortunate to have grown up in Callaway County and am thankful for this annual scholarship from the Fulton Board of Associates," Borman added. "A big thank you to all of the generous donors. I am so glad I went to college close to home, William Woods is a great university."

White attended Fulton High School and Borman attended North Callaway High School.
