Applications are now being accepted for 2017-18 Leadership Callaway County. If you have an upcoming leader in your organization or someone who is new to the community, this is the program for your team member.

Leadership Callaway County is designed to educate and motivate residents to become community leaders, according to Tamara Fitzpatrick, executive director of the Callaway Chamber of Commerce.

"The future of Callaway County depends on the quality commitment of our leaders," she said. "This is a 10-month program that offers participants a backstage pass to Callaway County."

The class will focus on strengths, challenges, needs and overall community issues that participants can directly address, Fitzpatrick added. Sessions will cover diverse topics such as history, law, government and education.

"In addition, participants will learn about economic development and the opportunity to hear, see, and meet the catalysts in our region," she said.

The cost is $550, $500 paid by the company and $50 by the participant.

Fitzpatrick has applications available; they need to be completed and returned by July 5. Contact her for more information at [email protected] or 573-642-3055.
