Two Callaway County cases from last year remain unsolved but active, according to law enforcement officers.
On June 20, the body of Steven Mullens, 34, of Columbia, was found in a car on County Road 268 near the Stephens area in northwest Callaway County. The case was being investigated as a murder.
"The case remains very active and CCSO investigators continue to follow up on leads," Clay Chism, the Callaway County sheriff, said.
Another case also remains unsolved. The body of Thomas Noel Craig, 48, of Fulton, was found lying on a rural road in Johnson County on June 1. At the time, police said he died from gunshot wounds.
"It's still an active case; we're still working on it," said Lt. Andy Gobber, of the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.
