Virginia 'Gin' Reinhardt, retiring from the Callaway County public administrator's office, was celebrated Monday with a luncheon and a certificate from county commissioners and her boss, Karen Digh Allen. 

"Thank you all," she said. "It's been my pleasure."

Reinhardt started in the office 18 years ago as a volunteer for RSVP and then became a paid part-time employee for 15 years, acting as the agency's in-house auditor. She said she is moving to Independence to be closer to one of her three sons.
