Callaway Chamber hit by website woes

If you have attempted to communicate with the Callaway Chamber of Commerce in the last few days, you may have noticed something odd.

Most notable, viewers are no longer able to reach the Chamber website and emails sent to chamber members never reach their destination.

Tamara Fitzpatrick, the executive director for the Chamber, said the problem is being worked on, but so far attempts to resolve the issue have been ineffective.

"[Kingdom Technology Solutions] was here yesterday and today working on the site," Fitzpatrick said Wednesday. "I don't know why, but both the email and the website are down.

"This is all an issue with Go Daddy, who hosts the site."

Fitzpatrick said the community has been very vocal in alerting the Chamber to the issue.

"We have received lots of calls," she said. "I have received lots of calls to my cellphone, text messages the phones here have been ringing off the hook."

Fitzpatrick said the chamber has been very thankful for the community's concern about the website, as she knows how vital it is to everyone who uses it.

"Our members depend on the site, as do our partners and the community," she said. "Its very important to us that we get it back up."

Fitzpatrick said the chamber has not been deterred by the technical issues, and still hosted a successful business breakfast Wednesday morning.
