Four arrested, drug charges filed

Four Callaway County residents were arrested over the weekend after a narcotics search warrant was executed by the Callaway County Sheriff's Office, the LANEG Drug Task Force and the Mustang Drug Task Force.

According to Lt. Curtis Hall of the sheriff's office, those arrested and their charges included:

Lori A. Dodson, 53, of Mokane: Felony possession for a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and possess under 10 grams of marijuana.

Dewayne E. Clayton, 51, of Fulton: Felony possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia for a Boone County warrant for driving while intoxicated.

Daniel B. Smith, 39, of Hermann: Felony possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and a Missouri Department of Corrections parole warrant.

Crystal J. Clark, 31, of Holts Summit was arrested for a Missouri Department of Corrections parole warrant and a Callaway County warrant for driving without a license.

During the 8:30 p.m.. Friday raid, officers found methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and other controlled substances, Hall said in a press release.

Smith and Clark remained in custody with no bond. Dodson posted a $5,500 bond and was released from the Callaway County Jail pending a court appearance. Clayton remains in custody on a $5,000 cash-only warrant.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges and arrests could be forthcoming. The Callaway County Sheriff's Office continues to work with local drug task forces to curb drug activity around the county.
