Farmhouses before the Great Flood of 1993 will be the topic of a meeting at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Chamois Lions Community Center.

Working through the Chamois Historic Preservation Commission and the Chamois Industrial Development Corporation, Susan Sundermeyer received a grant from the Missouri Humanities Council to research life in the Chamois and Morrison Missouri River bottoms.

Sundermeyer currently is collecting photos, stories, histories and other information about the early farmhouses.

The meeting Wednesday is an opportunity for people to share their photos, stories and knowledge of the area with her.
