Woman arrested on drug charges

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office continues to make felony drug arrests.

A deputy arrested Jennifer Ritter, 27, of Fulton, on Saturday. She was in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation at 12:22 a.m. by the deputy, who was patrolling the area of Route HH and U.S. 54 near Fulton.

During the traffic stop, methamphetamine and other articles related to drug use were located. Ritter was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail. During the booking process, Ritter was found to have methamphetamine on her person.

Ritter was booked and processed on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance in a county jail and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ritter is being held on a court-set bond of $9,500.

Callaway County deputies continue work with other law enforcement agencies and community partners to curb drug abuse throughout the county, which can lead to other offenses such as burglary and stealing.
