A Booneville man received minor injuries in a crash reported at 9:30 p.m. Friday on southbound U.S. 63 near County Road 394.
Missouri Highway Patrol troopers reported a 2005 Ford Winstar driven by Julius O. Udinyiwe, 54, was slowing and moving to the right shoulder when it was struck from behind by a 2012 Toyota Prius driven by Haylee D. Rethman, 25, of Jefferson City. Udinyiwe, who had been wearing a seat belt during the accident, was transported to the University of Missouri hospital in Columbia.
The Winstar received extensive damages and the Prius was destroyed.
