Fulton man arrested after trespassing, assault

A Fulton man was arrested Wednesday, suspected of trespassing and assaulting an officer, according to Sgt. D.B. McGrath of the Fulton Police Department.

Officers were called to the 100 block of Spruce Street at 2:15 a.m. to investigate a reported trespassing, McGrath said. Jeremy Scott Cochran was located and detained.

McGrath saidduring his arrest, Cochran assaulted an officer, who received non-life-threatening injuries. The officer was taken to an area hospital and released later in the morning.

Cochran was taken to the Callaway County Jail on charges of first-degree trespassing and assault on a special victim, McGrath said. As of Wednesday morning, no bond had been set.
