Autopsy results of a body found in Fulton Monday are not yet publicly available, according to the Boone County Medical Examiner's office.
The body, believed by Fulton police to be that of missing man Carl DeBrodie, was found in a local storage unit. According to Chief Steve Myers, the remains were in an advanced state of decay, and it's up to the medical examiner to determine its identity and cause of death.
The medical examiner's office said because the autopsy is part of an open investigation, autopsy results won't be released any time soon.
On Thursday, Myers said the police department is continuing its investigation.
"We've got some other search warrants we're working on today," he said.
He added no one has yet been eliminated as suspect, but warned against listening to the rampant speculation on social media.
"There's so many rumors out there that are false, including pretty much anything you see on Facebook," Myers said.
